My wife was just telling me about this the other day, about school buses stopping at motels more and more these days.

We were poor growing up, but I never felt poor. With the love of my folks and my grandparents, I felt rich. The only thing I remember was not being able to eat as much cheese as I wanted. My folks sacrificed a lot during that time so I could go to private school to hopefully do better when I grew up. It worked, since my boys (and me) can eat as much cheese as we want.

I've always figured I'd be successful in business and that I'd have tons of money by the time I was old. Despite all his monopolistic practices, etc., I admire John D. Rockefeller. He was frugal (though rich) and dedicated the latter part of his life to figuring out how to help the world with his money.

I'd like to hope that a lot of the rich folk out there are like that, waiting for that day when they can focus on helping others. Though, as you say in this post, perhaps we shouldn't wait until we're comfy. Maybe we should do something now, when the help is needed.

I can't say I have an answer or a solution or that I'll walk out of my bedroom and straight out to help someone. All I can say is that I'll start to think about how to help. I ain't rich but I have my time and there surely must be something I can do with that to help now, while I'm waiting until the time I can focus on helping more full time.

Amazing story. Emilia is one of the lucky ones. It's sad that her story happens far too often, all over the world. If only there were more people like you and your family, to offer a safe home for other abandoned pups. Congrats on welcoming Emilia into your family. =)

Not sure if I will get a reply from a post this old but.. Anyway to specify width and height at the button code? My button is linked to a swf file, not jpg, so lightbox needs to know width and height or it messes all up.

Thanks!

Hi There,
Finally I found a way that works for me...one question, is it possible to add a title to the a tag that is created. I tried to add it a couple of times in the js function, but cant get it to work...
Main problem for me is how to send the title variable from as3 to js...or do you know a better way?
Thnx a million...
